Two weird gas pedal and brake issues???

So, my wife was just driving our 2010 V8, 230k km and reported two weird events one after the other.

First, driving down the street she backed off the gas and when she pressed the gas pedal again nothing happened. No increase in revs. Just coasting. She stopped turned engine off and then restarted. All okay.

Two mins later, she went to brake and nothing happened. Brake pedal resistance didn't seem to change much from normal.

I have zero clue!...... I was not in the car.
Thoughts anyone?

'No brakes' may have been temporary loss of servo assist I would guess.

No engine response while pressing gas pedal may be a sticky throttle body valve. That's an easy fix.
