So about a month ago I had the dealer replace the water pump + crossover pipe (was leaking)
Ever since I got my car back the engine driven viscous fan has not turned off, not once. Highway driving, city driving, anything.
It is warm out here, but I had it further up north where the temp was about 50-60 degrees and it was still running constantly.
I read this post https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/fan-clutch-not-working-properly.23169/page-2 and
AlaskaKaz mentioned that his fan won't engage when it's unplugged.
I unplugged the connector for the fan, and got a restricted performance light (makes sense) but the fan stayed engaged... Shouldn't it disengage?
Is the clutch on this thing screwed? Just want to make sure I'm not an idiot before I take it back to the dealer.
The temps are in the 90s here (pushing 105 during the day) but it did not do this before. It would modulate on and off which seemed correct for the conditions. During highway driving it doesn't even disengage.
