Sadly said goodbye to my 2011 LR4 the other day. Actually cried when cleaning her out. I ended up landing on a brand new 2025 Defender X Dynamic SE, beating out the Lexus GX and the Grenadier. This forum has been priceless for me while i had the LR4-- thank you all so much.

That said, if anyone wants to buy my Gap tool G3, please hit me up. I considered trading it for the G4 one, but I don't want to mess with the CCF on the new truck just yet. I'll cross that bridge when i come to it.

I also have the original 2011 grill in Galway Green, the original headlamps, and an extra set of 2014-2016 halogen only headlamps I need to part with at a low price. All in good working condition. Per the pic, I had completed the headlamp facelift from prospeed uk.

Sweet.
Couple weeks ago. I participated in the Defender Trek competition in Monterey CA .
The things that the Defender did is very impressive.

If you ever get a chance, visit the Land Rover off road park. 140 acres of wicked good trails.

Congrats. I’m back in the LA area these days. What dealer did you go with? Get anything decent for the LR4? I’m on the fence sometimes.

I went with Pasadena as they are close by for me and had the truck that ticked all the boxes. Absolutely no settling for anything or anything lacking. I was on the fence for a LONG time too about saying goodbye. They gave me the lower of the kbb numbers for trade in and worked with me on the price of the defender to ease the pain. Got a great finance rate too. I know I could have gotten more for the LR4 had I sold her private party, but the convenience factor weighed high.

Got my LR4 from that same dealership.

I got mine at Thousand Oaks. They were pretty good then. I’ll consider it more once these mortgage rates come down if ever.

Did you trade or Sell? I'm in the same boat. I'm looking at the Grenedier, LR, and Rivian. Did you get a fair price? I can't sell my 2016 LR4 until January because of tax reasons.

Yep me too. I may be listing in the next few months. Time to go full size for my family. Just the pain of dealing with a private party sale is holding me back at this point.

I traded it in due to convenience and the fact that my driveway only holds one vehicle. It stung REALLY BADLY how little I got for her despite being in excellent condition and low mileage. The upside was that the dealer worked with me on the price of the defender and I got a really great finance rate.

Originally, I had a deposit on a Grenadier. However, when the pricing came out, it gave me pause. Then I joined a few forums detailing the problems the new owners were having and it really made me reconsider. I moved that deposit over to a Lexus GX, but the wait time for the green Overtrail one i specifically wanted was months out from even now. They also haven't wowed me with what I've driven. Most Lexus dealers here in LA also falsely advertise MSRP and proceed add on a bunch of options I do not want, like window tint. Like they do not give you a choice. It's really weird.

The Defender I have now is kind of like a new version of my LR4 HSE... It has the air suspension too. I'm still getting used to the fact that the rear seats do not fold flat but damn, she is a nice ride.
