    Oil Change

I am a dealer and we pump bulk SLX Pro. Castrol # 55065. My distributor gets it in 55g and pumps it into our tank. Bottle was Castrol # 06333. Other than the distibutor, I've never looked for it bottled. Yes, they charge us a small fortune, and I am not getting rich on this by any means...

Steering wheel phone buttons not working

I haven't followed any of this on this Forum, but in the shop here, the first thing we do on any Bluetooth issue, is delete the car from the phone and phone from the car - start all over. This has 'fixed' quite a few vehicles. The theory I got from the engineers is that as the manufacturers...

Need advice on LR4 20 inch wheel tire options

Did this for a customer. Factory wheels. If Redbourne is close to factory wheel in offset should be a no brainer.

    Remote Start

Smartkey is the problem. Every remote start I have ever heard of requires one of the key transponders to be buried in the car somewhere, and long story short, the remote start activates a read and energives the ignition and starter when activated. With the Smart Key in the car, first issue is...

    Gas Tank Lid Lock?

Amazing. This has been in the manual since 2005 when I had my LR3. There was no way to add it, as the body harness didn''t have a pigtail to tie the lock actuator into. Neither does the LR4. As for a locking cap, that's been tried. There is no stock listing in the US through LRNA. We have...

    LR4 Rear Locking Differential

Rear locker isn't a necessity by any means. We've run plenty of trail here in Colorado without the rear locker with no issues. A rear locker would be some help, I am sure. The other beauty of the $750 is that you get a full-size tire and wheel for a spare, (about a $1000 value in itself), and...

iPhone 4 does not work with cable supplied w/LR 4

I don't think that Land Rover will be producing a new cable everytime Apple reinvents it's products. The real solution is for Land Rover to go to a USB connector, and then you could use the cable you use @ home. Until then, you could contact consumer affairs to get your input heard.

    hood decal

The hood doesn't come with one. Can you tell us more?

Got bad news, tell me it's not so!

Not much to see. Here @ the store we've upgraded non-fog light cars to fog light cars utilizing the factory parts. We've done some here, and I've sold the components when asked. I'm tinkering with marketing a kit for ebay with all the parts and instructions for bumper and switch R & R. Not...

    Another tire question...

18's - General Grabber AT2 19's - Scorpion ATR Both are available in the correct respective size and can handle what you need them to do; highway, off-road, deep snow. Both are affordable, and long lasting.

Got bad news, tell me it's not so!

I am in a dealership, and we haven't done many, a whole 2, and they both work fine. You will get that response sometimes. If it it's not in the catalogue, or in print somewhere, it must be impossible. That's just being closed minded. The coolest part of this job is when I get this kind of...

Got bad news, tell me it's not so!

Now they tell me. I guess I better call back those clients that we've done this conversion to, and tell them that those fogs aren't really working. Hogwash.

    Built in Block Heater

You would think that, if LRNA would have given us any info. (I am in dealer employ). Land Rover nixxed it in the US, and consequently when this comes up I actually used Forums to gather the info I needed. Land Rover Tech, GTR, and every other 'official' method I use comes up blank on this. One...

    Maximum Gradients

I don't recall the #'s but I do remember that continuous refers to 'a period time', meaning you could leave it at XX* for an undetermined period of time. The other # is for short periods. What's the difference? Drivetrain damage. You can follow through 45* or whatever the # is, but if you kept...
