    serious help needed

    tried helping via txt yesterday to no avail, thought it was a security issue, but it almost sounds to me like a mechanical lock failure, like the tumblers in the actual device is broken now. You mentioned not being able to turn the key at all now right?

    try disconnecting the battery for a bit. Not totally sure this will help, but I seem to remember this working on a friend of mines last summer.

    chased some wires around today, all looks great.. this was a well taken care of garage queen, everything really looks good. Going to dig around under the dash tomorrow.. any other thoughts?

    checked the dim switch.. and it functions the LED display does dim, assuming the backlighting would too as well if it worked.. :frown: inside lights work, overhead lights and kickpanel (down by the feet) work as well.. driving me nutz, :)..

    Seafoam the intake... I did it on my series II disco and my 00 Range HSE, both 4.6's They make it nice and easy :proud: i dont have the link off hand but do a little searching for seafoam on rovers.. I did seafoam on my air intake this morning and a can in the tank, put brand new plug wires...

    Nope, wasnt fuse #1.. I also thought it may be attributed to the memory seats and dash lighting positon at the time it was set, but thats not the case either..

    2000 Range Rover HSE, new to me, all the dash lights backlighting are out, I dont suspect bulbs as the center console, like behind the clock, etc are all out as well.. The lights for the switches work, for instance turning on cruise control., or the EAS lights, the little orange ones work, but...
