My 11 makes the same noise occasionally on cold starts when the outside temp is very cold. It’s been about two years since it started and the fan clutch still works fine.

That was after letting the wife go off by herself for no more than 10 minutes. The 12k winch made quick work of it, and I ended up driving through the opposite direction without issue.
I cut the frame horns and am running 30cm over stock height using the Gap tool. I get slight rubbing at full lock on the front fender liners in standard height, haven’t trimmed the ~2” spot yet. Off road height is fine.

I think OP is referring to the high-mount brake light in the tailgate which is glued in place. Mine is faded as well, might try your idea of using a headlight restoration kit on it. If I get to it I'll post results.
I'm averaging about 16mpg mixed driving using premium only. I just did head gaskets/timing and had the injectors cleaned 5k ago. I used Injector experts in OH and would highly recommend them, super quick turnaround time.
The Nitto’s in LT load range are just over 1/4” larger than the Duratracs so you may have to deflate the spare more, and/or remove the exhaust heat shield.
After looking at your pictures further I see now why just cutting the top wouldn’t work. Mine is a V8 and doesn’t have that charge air canister like the V6.
