Have to get out of toyota. I really did like the LR3 best from everything I looked at. The jeep commander overland is next, but still not an LR3. Perhaps I need to wait till end of 09 model year for better deal as the redesigned 2010 models will take stage.
I noticed that on many of there vehicles stating 40 miles. Even some of there loaner vehicles with 3000 miles are listed as 40 miles. Site isn't updated which is very common not just here but at many dealerships.
I wouldn't go back there for a while, but most importantly, its service that...
You are mixing it up. I bought the vehicle with 97 miles on odo. After 2 days it had 300 miles, and I returned it, thus 203 miles was my own. I don't feel confident in this vehicle that it would have an alternator problem at such low mileage. I also don't feel confident in dealers service...
No, still here. I'm not taking this from dealer. Not comfortable with a bad alternator on a new vehicle with less than 100 miles, and a service department that took a week to diagnose.
The Touareg with an air suspension is softer than the LR3. With the regular spring suspension its firmer, but then doesn't have enough lift. Anyway, prestige land rover fixed the noise, it was a bad alternator. I will most likely take delivery this week.
I don't have the LR3 anymore, the dealer took back last Monday. However, they called me yesterday and confirmed the noise and only said its in the shop. They will let me know Monday and offer me deal at same price if I'm still interested. I am looking at the Touareg V8 today with the air...
Its not something you can't hear. Its so loud, you could hear it across the street. Almost as loud as a car with a bad muffler, but in this case high pitch grinding.
This was a loud bearing noise, and I found someone else in parking lot with a 2008 LR3 just like mine and they didn't have this noise. It sounded like a bad water pump. As for walking away, I'm not. I'm now looking at another LR dealer. I like the vehicle
I've been very easy going here and tollerated your put downs, but at some point enough is enough. Everything I tell you is honest and because its out of the norm, you call me a liar.
