Any word on when the Diesel engine will be shipping?

Mainly curious if anyone has gotten to test drive it yet.

I believe I read here that the diesel may lag the petrol version for some reason, although, when I was considering pre-order they didn't seem to limit me on what I could buy.

I test drove the diesel D5 and did not like it. There was definite lag compared to the Audi TDI loaners I have driven. Audi TDI just seemed to have far more immediate torque from a stop. Maybe their turbos spool-up quicker. It just felt really sluggish compared to my V8 LR4, despite being 1000 pounds lighter.

In the states? No way. That's great.

I wouldn't get it if there's a lag. I delt with that for many years and now that I have an LR4 that responds to the throttle immediately...not going back!
