    New Bridgestone Tires

Interestingly enough, I too just recently switched. I went from the O.E. Pirelli Scorpions Zero to the Bridgestone Alenza Plus in the 255/55/20 size. Sure, I lost the Y speed rating -- down to V rating, but the added smoothness, quietness and much higher mileage wear rating (the Pirelli only...

    Finally!

First, let me congratulate and welcome you to our exclusive family. Second, I'm old enough to remember when Land Rovers didn't even offer navigation as an option - case in point, our '96 RR 4.0SE. Not until our '01 RR 4.6HSE did we have navi - which Land Rover creatively named JAMES, for...

    Squealing rear brakes

Mine is a 2012. And it used to only occur when starting off in reverse. Now, it happens either direction.

    What's with the evoques

Freelander - cheapened the brand Evoque - diluted the Range Rover pedigree I only hope that when LR says the new Defender will be "more accessible to others" they don't mean something like this upcoming Ford http://www.burlappcar.com/2014/05/ford-troller.html

    Squealing rear brakes

Our driveway is on a slight incline. So, I always make it a habit to engage the parking brake on all my vehicles when I park them. Less load on the trans, and all that... Lately, I am noticing that the rear brakes are squealing (after I release the parking brake) and slowing drive away. It...

    What's with the evoques

After having driven a handful of Evoques both as loaners and of friend's personal vehicles... the only thing Range Rover about them is the lettering adhered to the bodywork. As umbertob elluded, the exterior styling (while well executed) is now dated. I think the Evoque now comes across as the...

Interior Wood Trim set part number for 2012 Luxury Limited Edition

I have the limited edition Lux. Those pics in the initial post are a bit deceptive. Yes, the look/color of the wood is nice - but, they are much more glossy than pictured and frankly still look a bit cheap. So yes, you will notice (though not as much as on the black lacquered pieces) the...

    2015 the new discovery

This is odd, considering this report (if true): http://www.egmcartech.com/2014/04/22/report-land-rover-to-build-off-road-biased-discovery-based-on-new-model/

3 car seats in an LR4?

Keep in mind that the LATCH guidelines have changed starting February 2014 http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2014/01/february-brings-changes-to-latch-guidelines.html

3 car seats in an LR4?

kickingtires has this entire segment of "car seat check." The LR4 is just one of a handful that can fit 3 seats in the 2nd row and 2 in the 3rd. More info here: http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2013/08/2013-land-rover-lr4-car-seat-check.html

    Accent LED Light Kit

I have these install as well. I am quite happy with them, and admire that they integrate so well into the lower bumper with the plastic surround etc - unlike some of the cheap Ebay crap. I too received the DRLs discount from my insurance company.

    Official 2014 Changes to LR4

Well, the LR4 name stays - and the V8 goes for US models... so says LeftlaneNews.com http://www.leftlanenews.com/disco-is-dead-land-rover-lr4-wont-get-new-name-for-2014.html

    Official 2014 Changes to LR4

one last comment on the 'updated' look... Why would Land Rover want to make the LR4 look like the Freelander/LR2? That old-girl should have been left to roam the pasture a LONG time ago. To mimic its tired looks on the LR4 begets a tired LR4

    Official 2014 Changes to LR4

got this interesting tidbit from carscoops.com Really? They removed the door side indicators for some needless badging? Now that great character line/crease extending from the hood shutline becomes meaningless in design. The new headlights remind me of those LA-style facelifts -- just...

    Official 2014 Changes to LR4

So wait... They got rid of the two-bulb setup for the headlight, replacing the high beam with an LED turn signal indicator? I personally love the high beam output and light pattern in my 2012 LR4. Shame to see it go. And what did they replace the front door mounted turn signal indicator with...

    Seat back protector

I've seen others apply to the seat backs some temporary floor/carpet protection film you can buy at Lowes/Home Depot. I assume if it can take the abuse of moving companies and home improvement projects, it should keep up with little feet.

Anyone check out the LR4 HSE Luxury LE?

I have the 2012 HSE Luxury Limited Edition version. And yes, it is better. The interior color combo alone won us over with the Arabica Leather. Plus, I do admit that I like not seeing another one around. Exclusivity is always great. I previously had a white 2010 LR4 HSE, but the wife complained...

    LR4 Lux Limited Edition

Just another example of how McGovern is ruining Land Rover. Chrome belongs on a Cadillac or Infiniti - not on a Land Rover.

    vibrating steering wheel

*clarification* the vibrating of the steering wheel occurs when the vehicle is at a complete stop - not when braking - and in Drive. dealer is saying its 'normal for this vehicle' - i don't buy it... i've heard some people like to have fun with heated vibrators, but on a steering wheel?

    vibrating steering wheel

i knew i was getting a heated steering wheel, which has been great this winter - but, this vibrating is not great... almost every time i come to a complete stop, with the LR4 in gear, the steering wheel vibrates rather noticeably. any one else have this issue?
