I have a 2011 LR4 that developed the same problem a few months after delivery. The sunroof drain hoses were not routed correctly. Your description of the hoses being routed higher than they should be, thus allowing the water to seek the first escape route it can find, is exactly how the problem... -

My LR4 had the same problem. An issue with the guides causes the timing chain to not be as taught as it should be. The excessive slack cause the chain to make noise. Hey MadBrit. My LR dealer replaced a "variable valve timing solenoid" on my vehicle also. No change. It still idles a bit rougher compared to before the timing chain/guides, etc were replaced. Not sure what my next moves is............. -

Yes. If your vehicle has this issue you will hear it at idle if you are standing in front of it, especially if the engine is cold. This is apparently know to happen on some 5.0L engines. -

Lr4 Brakes
I have about 13,000 on my piece of crap 2011 LR4 and i haven't had to replace pads yet. Honestly, brake pads are the least of your worries as a Land Rover owner. My guess is it won't be long until you will be sorry you made the decision to buy one, just like me............
