Guess how much my dealer charges for tie-rods?

I had my alignment done at the indie shop that did my bushings. After the second failed attempt to get it right, they offered to pay for it at the dealer ($200 cost) for the third try. I was told by the foreman @dealer the $80k machine is specific for Land Rovers. From my experience, the...

    Terrain Response Assembly Unit Install

Terrain Respnse Assembly Unit Ok. So, I successfully installed the new unit. A few things to comment about: The illustrations on this thread were easy to follow and accurate. Total labor time: 1 hour. Completely worth it. Part cost $294 (available at dealer only, not available at British...

    Lower Control Arm Bushings

Yes, the vibration over 50 mph is a symptom of bad bushings. I had my front replaced for $900. I went with Land Rover stock bushings because I already have an issue with the suspension (I feel like it bobs to the right and left too much, like a boat) so I preferred to not make the ride any...

    Terrain Response Assembly Unit Install

As always, thank you Ryan.....and thank you bbyer for the helpful illustration. I actually was hoping to tackle this project this week. Going to attempt to clean up the likely corrosion that occurred on the wiring. I was going to use a baking soda/water solution unless you gentlemen have any...

    Miles per Gallon?

Thanks Steven. Funny thing is that is so lame. Not that I don't love my LR, but the poor mileage is a drag. I have never seen my gage go to 18-20mpg on road trips on the highway. Wonder why....

    Miles per Gallon?

I use my LR3 mostly on urban roads with some highway. My gage consistantly reads 13.8 average mpg. Is that about right?

    Control Arm Bushings

I have a 2005 LR3 V8SE w/ 61K. The front control arm bushings have needed to be replaced for last 2 years. Finally getting them fixed next week. Does anyone have any input on the "synthetic" control arm bushings that are a supposed permanent fix to the lame quality of the manufacturers control...
