Cool
Make sure that you get with the DMV from where you are at first though. I had a guy in Cali that was going to buy it but since the odometer is in kilometers the DMV wanted to call it a grey market car and charge him more stupid fees.
No worries though it has been regeistered in WA...
After alot of thought I am selling my 97 D1. The amount of driving I have to do has almost doubled since taking my kid to daycare, so milage is killing me. Time to look for a car :(
It is light green..I guess willow green, not quite sure of the specific name.
- 115k miles. All...
I trashed all genuine speakers!! Your D1 shouldnt have the HK system.
I went all JL audio. 4.5 in the front doors and 5.25 in the rear pillars. I wired up a Total Mobile Audio (made by JL) amp under the drivers seat which drives a 10" JL sub in the back.
Your joking right???
If you follow the website link from your last post about your radio. your #3 question would be answered. Unconnect the big white plug and chop off the wires and trace them back to the desired speakers.

The harness doesnt really bypass it. In order for the speakers to even put out a signal since they are connected directly to the amp the amp needs to be on. You end up having to connect the blue power wire (which powers up the amp) to even get sound, which isnt bypassing the amp at all...
I just had to do this a month or so ago.
Go to Crutchfield and figure out which deck will fit the factory slot. Go to Ebay and get that deck at a killer price!!! (brand new in box of course)

At this point I am soo sick of messing with these stupid brakes. I have taken them apart and back together at least 3 times I think now and cant find out why the squeal. I kind of hope its the bearings or something different.
Thanks for getting back at me Joey
Yeah I did think about the swivel being out of grease. I dont have the fill plug so i'd have to go in the hard way. The CV is fine I think, no click clacking when turning.
I have been having this stupid squeal problem ever since I did the front brakes. I havent herd the squeal for...
Does anyone know the sound of a wheel bearing going bad? I think mine is on its way out.
I didnt hear anything untill I had been driving for around 45 min. As I was pulling into my drive going about 5 and I started to hear a grinding sound comming from one of the wheels. I know it is not...
If you are looking at your engine from the front, you will see this hose/tube. Pull it out of the top of the rocker cover (I think thats what its called) and rotate it upwards so you can pour the seafoam in. This is on the drivers side.
You might not be able to, at least the easy way. I have herd that some models/years came factory sealed and dont have the filler plugs. There is supposed to be a bolt on the top inside of the housing for filling.
I have a 97 myself and could only find the drain plug. Why drain what you...
Posting this on a LR forum you can almost guess what people will say.
I cant say much for Xterras other that they look like plastic. Why spend the money if its going to be a "work/fun truck"?
Save your money for a rainy day and get a D1. If you are handy you can do alot of work on it...
I would be happy with ticking.
I'm just gunna live with this stupid squeal for now. When I get really tired of it I will try something else. I herd of another kind of pads that others were happy with but cant think of them right now.
Happy with the rotors though
No alignment lately just aggravation.
All is done now. Took pads out cleaned everything top to bottom and greased em up. Installed new pins and springs. If nothing changes I suppose it will be new calipers at this point and rebleed the system. Keeping my fingers crossed.
98GRDisco....this should help abit.....Just for D1
