Nervous but now ready
Agreed if you need/want the extra power, but as I said above it's more than enough for everyday use. I certainly didn't buy it for the gas mileage :). After being familiar with my previous V6 LR3 and no major issues after 280k km, I was comfortable with another one. It's essentially a Ford V6...- kameag

I am on my second 3, both have had the V6 and both very reliable. A little underpowered for highway passing etc but plenty for everyday use.- kameag

Lr3 fault issues
I am the last guy to have any real knowledge other than reading a lot of forums. Similar (not same) issues I had ended up being an electrical issue with the wire bundle in the front passenger door step. Was filled with water and caused a short. Everyone seems to think the IID Tool from GAP... -

This is a little odd to me.
This is just the beginning of having kids costing you a lot of money. Worth it though! I recently had my LR3 brakes done, all four corners (pads and disks) for about $1300 Canadian at an independent. Not in Alberta so I can't help you out on referral to a mechanic there.- kameag

What to upgrade/ replace on a 96k mi 2007 LR3 V8 to be solid daily driver
Just bought a 2007 LR3 V6 with about 71k and very well looked after so would be interested in a few modern conveniences as well. On your list the Bluetooth capability and a backup cam/carplay would be great. I recently found this for Bluetooth and will order one if they are still producing it... -

Upgrade my LR3?
Thank you bbyer. Well I went to drive it and it drove very solid....nothing noticable including no shimmy or shakes at highway speeds. Interior is in better shape than mine as assumed with the lower mileage. Paint looked good except for a mark above windshield. But...the a/c did not work, which... -

Upgrade my LR3?
Currenly have an 06 LR3 4.0 with (270,000 km) 170,000 miles. It has been a great truck and have recently repaired an issue with a water leak that caused a short (lowering, fault lihgts ets.). Did not spend much on that as it was only labour so I don't have alot of money into in the past couple... -

Suspension Fault, HDC unavailable,Transmission fault, brake switch
This was the problem with my recent fix (see thread). I finally took it a land rover specialist and they diagnosed the circuit and fixed it in a beer 3 hours. No parts required. It was the brake switch circuit that was shorted in my case. -

2012 fault lights!!!!
Just had this repaired this week. Culprit was a corroded connestion under the passenger side door sill casued by a water leak. Thanks CBN. I definitely have a leak somewhere as the carpet is wet after a rain. How did you find the bad connection? I ask because there is a HUGE bundle of wires under the door sill. -

2005 LR3 seriously annoying whine from engine....
Have not listened to the video yet, but could it be the power steering pump? We had a Ford with the 4L engine that made a loud whine and the fluid was just low. We are getting a similar whine from our LR3 now. -
