No matter what I do I can't get mine to rotate any more than to where the green handle is horizontal when I put it pin looks to be extended about half way into the hole before it stops. On mine, the only way that I can get the pin to go out is if I manually push in the release pin. Is yours... -
Trailer Wiring
The dummy plugs are attached to brackets and they're a bit more towards the top and rear of the cavity than the ones for the tail lights. When you remove them from the brackets you then remove the dummy plugs which will have no wires coming out of them. -

I just installed their kit this past weekend and everything plugged right in. Is it possible that you're using the wrong connections behind the taillight? They should be connected to dummy plugs from the factory, not the ones that actually go to the taillight as you'd use on many other vehicles... -

No, you have to install it. There's a kit from Land Rover, or Atlantic British makes a kit that uses the same connectors for about half price. -
Long term plan for the LR4
The LR4 tranny is the same as the LR3 and there are plenty of them with over 200K on them. I'm not sure how many had tranny work done, but given the cost to value I'd assume that most are in the original tranny. -
Windshield
The OEM Windshield replacement for our Evoque a couple months ago, which probably has most of the same features (rain sensor, heated, etc) was $1,200 at the local dealer's preferred place. The clips are cheap, be sure to do them. -

We went the other way. I spent about a month in an LR4 loaner last year while my wife's Evoque was in the shop and ended up buying one because I liked it so much. -

Did you find a good source for the tranny fluid? Best I'm finding for the ZF labelled version is $21/liter from RoverParts. Six of those plus the ~$125 shipped for the kit from Rimmer wouldn't leave much room for your diff/TC fluids, so you must have found a deal somewhere.
