    Air suspension shock replacement

Go for Genuine Shocks.Patten Shocks are ok if you need to put some on to get you home but in my opinion they do not last half as long as the genuine Air Shocks. Mine are coming up for replacement soon. I’ve covered 136000 miles now and have noticed the rubber gaiters are starting to split on the...

Can you smell hot rubber when doing journeys of 5 miles or more. 3. You have noticed increased fuel consumption. I too thought...

    LOCKDOWN To do List

I’ve been busy during the lockdown. 1st Job I was told I had a very small amount of play on the offside track rod end so purchased two new ones. Both track rods had seized solid and no tool would remove either joint. So I used a heat gun and both popped out easy. Noted the correct number of...

No sound from radio or sound system after sunroof leak into passenger footwell

If you look down to the right bottom of the passenger footwell you will see a black plastic panel covering all the wires your looking for. It’s right next to the door seal trim and the plastic cover that covers the length of the door opening which runs to the rear passenger door opening. This...

New LR3 owner driver seat reclining issue

Sounds like your seat module is playing up or there’s a brake in one of wires too motor. There are relays that work with the seat motor so I’d go for cheapest option first. Buy a relay and try the recliner again.

    Lr3 fault issues

I had many faults on my discovery 3 when I first picked it up. Found many of them due to water ingress in the drivers footwell. Water can get into all the wiring loom and earthing points usually ending up by either soldering the damaged wiring or replacing the damaged loom. I too had no front...

Who Makes the OEM Brake Pads/Rotors?

It’s very variable on brake pad ware/ rotor ware. It all depends on how much your using your brake and if there’s friction from sticking brake calipers and ware / grooving on your discs. If you do any off roading can cause excessive pad ware. I’m finding my pads last around 15000 miles or 2...

Looking for instructions or video on 2007 LR3 moonroof removal and installing.

The actual roof costs around £600 to £700 pounds and in the UK there’s not many places that fit them. However I’ve had my 2005 discovery 3 ,2 years now and my crack on the roof panel has not grown at all. You can get windscreen repair and push the glue into the crack to make it hold until you...

Leak Through Rear Dome Light 2012 LR4

Sounds like your Sunroof drain pipes are blocked. Easy repair. Get someone with a Air Compressor to disconnect each of the pipes and put compressed air through each pipe. There is a one way valve at the end of each pipe which often becomes stiff causing the pipes to become blocked up with dirt...

Have you removed your steering wheel air bag and checked the tiny wiring loom which supplies power to your horn. I had to replace mine as water dropped down onto my steering wheel and made my horn active at 1am in the morning. It burnt my horn out and melted the wiring loom under the air bag...

    Rain Water Leak

I have the same problem with my Discovery 3 sunroof drains. I’ve even purchased 4 new drain tubes and thought I’d cured the problem. In very heavy rain falls I now think the drain tubes cannot cope with the amount of water coming down. I’ve found parking on slopes makes the problem worse and...
