Thank you so much for responding quickly to my request. I know it has been a long long time since your post. So, I'm guessing that you ground one side and put 12v on either side to rotate the motor either CW or CCW. -

My manual states to hold the center lift button for 20 seconds. I held it for at least a minute and no response, just herd a cli k when I depressed the button. Nothing else. -

EAS blew up!

Replaced the engine at a cost of $7,000+. Then, on test drive, front differential locked up and snapped the driver's CV Axle half-shaft. Not a good thing. These cars are a mechanical nightmare. I'd sure appreciate any suggestions for rotors and pads. Autozone Duralast Gold, Carcraft Premium pro, EBC, Centric, Power Stop, etc. My daughter drives back & forth to the AFB from home - a 65 mile trek one way! I want her to be safe and sound through the abismal traffic here. -

Well, Adventure Tim, I have found that turning rotors is a waste of time. I've had it done at the AFB here in AZ, The Toyota dealer, 2 brake shops, and even Midas. None lasted very long before the steering began shaking. (Warped rotors) So, I always change the rotors and pads. That's $600.00... -

Persistent air lock in the cooling system
Might I suggest that you rent a pressure test kit. This checks for leaks in the reservoir cap and the whole coolant system. You may have a leak in a hose you can't see, but under pressure (@16 PSI) it will show up quickly. Secondly, if this test shows no leaks and holds pressure, the next test...- Easycool

Yeppers! Thanks Shaggy for responding to my post. The body and interior are in pristine condition. However, the mechanical leaves a lot to be desired.
