Wont stay running when low on gas
Just to clarify- I am not running OUT of gas! So when I let my '97 Disco get real low on gas (the light comes on), and then I park my car on our inclined drive way (the hood is facing downhill) my car has a tough time idling- and will sometimes conk out. I don't know if the pump is in the... -

Refreshing the Brush Bar
this weekend I would like to "refresh" my brush bar. I live in a big city, and the thing has about 100 scuffs on it, many of them white which makes my black powder coated bar look a little crappy. I know that dents and dings are good on a Rover, but I would like to seel up these places... -

Yeah- if you don't have a problem with the environmental impact, just keep filling it up every so often and go about your business. I was told that my pump had a leak, but I actually bought some stop leak PS fluid and now it either doesn't leak, or leaks very very slow. -

The PS shouldn't be hard- just check your reservoir and see if it is low. Also, it will probably be starting to squeal when you turn the wheels if it has already lost that much fluid just in your driveway. -

Premium fuel?
I was told that a major reason to use premium was because the lower octane fuels will build up more "junk", I assume carbon deposits, on the cylinder heads and because of the small level of clearance b/w the block and pistons, you will eventually have to have the engine pulled, and the cylinder... -

you are correct!! UK must have used child labor to get those things in. I take it that you have already removed the cover to get back there. I loosened up the metal bar and spun it out of the way, then I torqued the hell out of my fingers and got it to snap loose (lefty loosey). the problem... -

I don't know what "color temperature of the main lights" means, but I have lost interest in the RR lights, and would like to devote my efforts into convincing you to never even think about the under car lighting again. I really hope that was a joke and I just didn't get it! -

ABS problem
Well, I am not giving any advice, but what I did was disable the ABS. 2.5 years ago on my Disco and 6 months ago on the RR. Best move I have ever made. But, I am not telling anyone to disable any safety devices....- Kestreljr

LR3 BASE VS X5 - please help newbie
Two cars- same price, and one is a (almost) brand new 2006 LR3 under warranty -OR- a (two months from being an old body style) 3 year old X5 with 45,000 miles on it? That is an easy choice for me, but I could always find a way to rationalize buying another LR.
