bad lower ball joint lead to howling?

I would hear a dull, rhythmic, low-frequency sound when I'd take right-handed jug handles (Jersey). Ended up being the wheel bearings (90k miles)

    Misfiring Cyl 2/4/6 ?? 2015 LR4

I had a V8 with rough idle, inconsistent acceleration, emission inspection failure, and misfires on one bank. Dealership said it was the the fuel injectors, second option from an Indy was skepticism. The Indy had an old school diagnostic tablet (all I can remember was it was bulky and blue) and...

Rattling/Vibrating/Grinding/Ringing noise when turning at low RPM

It could be the wheel bearings. I picked it up at 80k and I would hear/feel a rhythmic grind when turning around jug-handles and the wheel would vibrate a higher speeds even with a wheel balancing. Had mine replaced by my indy and it's been quiet and smooth ever since.

Rebuild hitachi compressor or buy new aftermarket compressor?

Atlantic British provides a full kit including the compressor and relay, not the cheapest but given what I quoted by the dealership ($1800 LOL) this seems like a deal and "plug-and-play" https://www.roverparts.com/suspension/air-suspension-parts/LR023964/

    Cleaning OEM 2015 LR4 Rims - DO's & DON'TS

+1 on Sonax, smells like a$$ but it does the job well. I'll usually spray the rims prior to washing so it gets some time to soak. Get yourself a stiff brush to get in the cracks. I also found that 3M adhesive remover sprayed on a microfiber cloth works well to get really tough build-up. I...

    Windshield wind noise.

When I went to replace my worn-out A-pillars I was greeted with a sloppy auto adhesive job on the driver-side. Heat gun made short work of it thankfully.

    LR4 Trailer Hitch Receiver Needed!

I ended up getting this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ES0UDS/ after trying the type of receiver mentioned above. Install wasn't that tough and I like the look (Not my LR4) Also picked up this hitch cover https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072M4YY49 :

    Windshield wind noise.

Are the pillar trim panels completely attached to the clips or are the clips loose? I had to replace the clips on my passenger side because it would pop loose at speed on the highway. If you do pop em off, you'll need to replace the clips anyway https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H87JQS9/

How To - DIY - 2016 LR4 - F/R Crossover Pipes, Water Pump, Thermostat, Coolant, Supercharger Oil, Supercharger Coupling

I lucked out about a month or so ago, wife got a low-coolant warning, ended up being the water pump which literally blew the night before. I've got a 2012 105k, wanted to do it myself but time was of the essence, luckily my indy had downtime and was able to replace the that and the crossovers...

    2015 US LR4 Tailgate won't open

I had to replace the entire actuator, got the whole kit from Atlantic British, pretty striaghtfoward when you watch the videos out there. Ended up zip-tying the S hook to the actuator for good measure to avoid the potential slippage. Hopefully you can get it open, I lucked out as it was...

Success in having Land Rover cover timing chain expense post 100k miles

I just got the class-action paperwork and there's no coverage for any LR4s over 8 years old or driven more than 100,000... More info here https://schmidttimingchainsettlement.com/

Recall Over Potential Fuel Leak for Some Models

    Upper Trunk Won’t Open

I think you'll prolly need to zip tie the latch on the lower tailgate in the open position. Atlantic British sells the whole kit but you really just need the actuator for the latch. Honestly its worth the money to just get the whole thing (actuator, latch, water shredder) and sleep well at night.

My 2012 HSE a year later: Fixes: Leaking passenger A-pillar Faded windshield cowl Buffed-out headlamp lenses Tailgate latch actuator Tailgate hydraulics Wiper arms front and back Rattling interior panels when bass would hit 100k service including new upstream O2 sensors, sparks, breaks &...

    Engine Misfire

All 4 O2s we're replaced? If your seeing it one side, I'd start by checking the O2s there. I had a similar issue where I had fluctuating idle, misfires on one bank, lurching acceleration, and couldn't pass emissions because my evap and egr wouldn't "ready" because of the O2 monitor. No...

At Long Last... Modern head unit!

Any idea why they move the head unit to the center of the console? It seems like it could fit where the OEM resided. Been thinking about upgrading but missing the physical volume, quick buttons, and just the overall placement is what's holding me back

1992 Land Rover Discovery Camel Trophy - Grab it if you have the scratch

https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rGy0aeVd/1992-land-rover-discovery-camel-trophy Nice piece of memorabilia, bid seems crazy low imo given the mileage, but then again, getting it to pass smog is prolly one of the biggest challenges.

    Normal or chain noise?

Yeah I wouldn't stress over it. Mine sounds the same and preemptively had 100k service done. Indy didn't raise any concerns other than giving the truck a tune-up and news breaks/rotors all around.

    LR4 Interior LED Lights

Thanks! This is a great post, and yes the the visor bulbs def look to be a PITA. I might just pull the fuse so I don't run through them.

Thanks for the input! Yeah I figure I'd take it easy, leave the battery covered and use a low-flow on the bay in general.

    Engine detail

Might have been covered in another thread but I'm thinking of cleaning the engine bay with some P21S Total Clean, basically spray as much under the hood as I can then hose everything off. Videos in general say you should cover electronics to keep them dry, specifically the alternator. Is that...

    Nameplate replacement pricing?

Yeah I've watched a couple vids, I could prolly do it but I love my wife and don't want to hear it if anything goes awry :vollkomme Under the hood, no prob. Cosmetically, that's a diff story if it doesn't unscrew or pop right off and drop right back in place haha

    Nameplate replacement pricing?

Planning to get the hood and tailgate nameplates swapped from matte silver to gloss black. Was thinking of DYI but not too keen on it coming out crooked or messing up my paint job with no recourse. Dealership detail shop is quoting me $500, going to see what locals might charge, but curious if...
