wires and plugs
My mechanic said to use dealer recommended plugs which I did. I noticed a definite difference in power with new plugs. Next I'll install the Magnacore wires and see if I notice any difference. Do plugs first, then see about wires is my recommendation. -

Upgraded exhaust
Thanks. I think I'll wait to put in muffler till I can afford to do all this other work. The muffler shop told me to expect about a 20% increase in power but maybe only 1 MPG. Not enough to justify the roughly $300 outlay. I'll wait and do all this other work at another time. Thanks for the... -

Which fluids? Other than oil, which fluids should be replaced and how often? I'm glad to hear about keeping up with the maintenance should make a difference. Anybody got thoughts about upgrading to a MagnaFlow or Flowmaster muffler on a 1999 DII, stock? Potential problems? How much increased power could be expected? More importantly, what about the possiblity of increased gas mileage? Thanks ahead for any thoughts about this topic! -

I'm the proud new owner of a 1999 DII with 75K miles on it. Came over from the 4Runner world and I can't believe I haven't owned a Rover before. Great driving experience! So far the Disco hasn't gone anywhere my 1987 4Runner went off road but with alot more STYLE. My Rover is running great...- rctaylor
