    Kenwood makes a unit that is popular for what you're interested in. Search for it on disco3.co.uk as it's pretty popular on that board. I'd just get a portable Garmin w/TOPO capability. It's what I use and I personally enjoy having the dash cubby.

    Took my LR3 to the dealer and now this...

    Sorry to hear of your troubles. I'd probably just ride this set of tires out and exercise 5,000mi front-to-rear rotations next time around. The bushings only last 30-60K on average so you're likely to experience it again at some point.

    Hazards on or off seemed to make zero difference when I rotated yesterday. Either way the truck went into extended mode.

    So the suspension DOWN switch doesn't work at all? Hmmm... I feel like someone from LRRF may have gotten stuck in Offroad Mode once so you might try to search there.
