    Vision X XMitter light bar

On this bar, it's not the range that is impessive. I mean... it is, but it pales in comparison to the quality of light this thing gives off and the spread of it. First, because there are 80 light sources on this bar instead of one or two, there are almost no shadows from things like posts and...

    Vision X XMitter light bar

Yes - a rear AND FRONT locker - true lockers, too. AND it had an electronically disconnecting swaybar. For off-roading, it's the bomb. It's just not NEARLY as nice on the road as the Rover. Well, I got the winch yesterday and just installed most of it today. I put it on the Mopar bumper - I...

    Vision X XMitter light bar

THis 42" one had 80 three-watt LED's... it's amazing how far LED technology has come. The light is far nicer than the light from HID lighting - just pure white. THe light bar is about $1500 (retail). What's under the hood of what? THe Jeep? It has a crappy V6 froma minivan that gets worse...

Has anyone changed the fog lights to HID fog lights

Actually, HID lights are 35 watts each as oppossed to the 55 watt lights that come from the factory. You use a lot LESS amperage (watts/volts = amps - two factory lights = 110 watts. 110/12 = about 9 amps. Two HID lights = 70 watts. 70/12 = about 5.8. About 40% less). HID's, however, do suck...

Has anyone changed the fog lights to HID fog lights

Yes - I did it. I upgraded to HID off-road lights. The factory lights suck eggs. Check out this link: Link to upgrading lights

    Vision X XMitter light bar

Keep in mind - the bar is merely resting on the pushbar of my patrol car. Also, it was raining and foggy out, so there is a slight white haze and the light didn't go as far as it would on a clear day. The first three photos are as follows: 1. Patrol car, low beams only 2. Patrol car, high...

    Vision X XMitter light bar

Don't hate me, but I got rid of my LR3; I was having far too many problems with it. I went and purchased a 2008 Jeep JK 4 door rubicon... unbelievable off road. Anyways - despite this, I wanted to share a light bar with my friends here on the forum - because this thing is simply amazing and will...

If you were to sell your LR3 what would you get if...

Yeah - the Rover probably had the worst depreciation of any vehicle in the world that I can think of.

Land Rover LR3 reliability - how does it truly compare?

Just bought a 2005 LR3 SE. THe week I had it, it was in the shop for an emergency brake failure. And trim pieces falling off. And the CD player not working. If you want absolute reliability, don't buy any British car. Buy an Asian one.

    LR3 Commercial

There is one where a family is traveling in a disaster zone when they come to a fallen tree blocking the road. The dad drives over this steep slope and around the tree. It was good, but I've not been able to find it.

Hmmm... That is very cool... I'm not sure if I tried that or not, but the next chance I get, I'm going to do so. Thanks!

Off-road light / brush guard adapters ready!

Once complete, you mount the light to the adapter with the light's stud, lockwasher and nut. On the Vision X HID lights, the nut is a 17mm. Here is the underside of the top verticle bar where the old mounts used to reside. There are two options here. The factory light stud is too long...

Off-road light / brush guard adapters ready!

I got the first batch of brush guard adapters ready to go... they are a very limited quantity because I want to see how they sell before I produce a lot of these. These came about in another thread - I hated the factory lights on the Land Rover brush guard but they had special mounts that...

Upgraded the brush lights on my LR3

Oh yeah - well, I don't really know what the brackets would cost to produce, because I just machined the prototype. I will know tomorrow, though... so I'll figure it out guickly. I don't sell retail, but the moderator, being infinitely wise and wanting to be able to get you guys a kick arse...

If you were to sell your LR3 what would you get if...

Oh, what I wouldn't give to take you up on that offer, but I live in West Palm Beach, FL. Now - I DID take the Rover to Tellico for the Jeep JAmboree last week (boy, did that turn heads) and I can't tell you how impressed I was. I did Trail 4 and Trail 5 with almost no problems - I did have to...

Upgraded the brush lights on my LR3

They are incredibly easy to install. As far as wiring, wach light has two wires. These wires need to be spliced into the old harness with butt connectors. As far as mounting, if you can turn a wrench and screwdriver, you can remove the old ones and put these on. It took me one hour, and that...

If you were to sell your LR3 what would you get if...

We currently have three vehicles - a 2004 Jeep Rubicon, a 2007 HOnda Ridgeline and a 2005 Land Rover LR3 (just got it). The LR3 is impressive off road... but not as impressive as the Rubicon (sorry - please don't lynch me). The Rubicon is impressive off road, but not nearly as impressive on the...

Upgraded the brush lights on my LR3

I just got a 2005 silver LR3 SE with the winch package, brush guard/lights and a roof rack. I hated the cheap front brush lights and decided to replace them with something more of Land Rover's caliber. HID off-road lights would look good because they match the Rover's HID lights. THey would...
