Thinking of installing Yaesu FT-2900R Radio
I have the yaesu 8800 and did a very similar setup and it works really well this way. Keep the head unit in the little tray and the body in the back cubby. I actually just tucked mine back up in there. It will fit pretty far back that and I find its pretty snug when it gets in there. Good luck... -

I have thought about running the kit. I was considering putting the spaces on the adjust the rods for a 1" lower ride so for daily driving you would only be +1" off standard height. nwoods, I use the RS stage 3 sliders and wheel mostly in rock in Arizona, etc. I have found that your comments are correct about the standoff tubes getting in the way when sliding over some rocks. I have also felt that the standoff tubes affect some the the clearance when trying to fit through... -

agreed, what are you going to do with it? That said I would go for the 265/60/18 which is a larger tire and offers some good tire options for on and offroad. Such as the cooper tire which a lot of people are running. -

I have used back-to-black but only recently used the forever black. It took a little longer to get it applied but so far it has held up great. I have only done a couple of washes so far but it still looks like when I first put it on. At this point I would recommend the forever black! -

Forever Black Ok I tried all the other stuff including back to black, formula 303, etc.... You still have to put it on regularly. The 303 lasted the longest. I just got some Forever Black which is a dye. it went on easy and any that got on the paint I wiped off with alcohol pad. It looks great... -

How are you getting 20mpg?
So what size and type of tires are you guys running that are getting 20mpg? I can only get about 16 maybe 18 on the highway if I really baby it. I am running the 32" DuraTracs. -
