I take my 2002 LR freelander to a local AAMCO shop to get the transmission fluid changed. They change the fluid and then on the drive home the transmission did not want to shift. IT would stay at high RPM's and then shift. THen it works itself out and shifts smoothly. I go to the sport mode...- Mazdryk

Freelander 02 - Gas Gauge
I solved the Problem. There are 2 different fuel pumps depending on your VIN #. Both Fuel pumps will plug and and work perfectly except for the fuel gage. I had the wrong pump installed then realized that the VIN I though i had was wrong. I ordered the next part # and it worked. CAll a...- Mazdryk

Freelander 02 - Gas Gauge
Having the same problem. I just changed the fuel pump and now my gage reads backwards. I tried swapping the blue wires on the sender but it did nothing. Maybe i should try and swap the power/ground wire (red, black)?- Mazdryk

My freelander drives perfectly but after I drove it once today I went to start it 8 hours later and I let go of the ignition right as it was starting so it died.
