Hello. First post.
Have an 04 Freelander and the antenna mast was snapped off somehow by getting caught in garage door in reverse.
I ordered a replacement mast on ebay, but foud the WHOLE UNIT broke off, not just the mast.
MY QUESTION IS THIS:
Does anyone have instructions on removing the ANTENNA BASE to replace it? I didn't see any screws on the top, so I assume you have to access through the headliner/ interior roof. Anyone know the PART # for the Base?
SECONDARY QUESTION:
Is there a CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE to having an antenna? Anyone retrofit a Volkswagen or similar aerial antenna for cheaper? I don't mind it not looking 100% stock, but I DO NOT WANT A Duct tape/ coat hanger job.
