1996 defender manuals?

Hello, I`ve just bought a 1996 (P reg) defender 90 tdi & i`m not technically minded at all.

I`ve been looking on-line for a basic maintenance manual it, but for some reason, most books (Haines etc...) only cater for the models built up to 1995....

My questions are:-

1...Is their a book for the 1996+ model?

2...Is their a great deal of difference between the 'up to 95' & the 96 onwards models?

3...Can anybody recommend a book/manual for me?

I`d greatly appreciate any help in my quest for answers.

A friend of a friend has dug out an old 'Haines' manual on the pre 1996 defender.

My local Landrover mechanic (who seems very good) told me the 'old' manual should cater for most of my needs, but then started crying & pleading poverty, saying he "couldn`t afford to feed his kids, if i didn`t bring my landy to him on a regular basis for all it`s mechanical needs"

...so i`m in a bit of a quandery now?
