Disco II wheels on Series III???

I've got a line on some Disco II alloy wheels with 255/65/16 tires... Will these fit on my Series III to replace the 3" wide 16" steels and dry-rotted Buckshot Mudders? I'm not afraid of some 'modifications' with the die grinder, relieve the center hole, etc... especially since my LR is no longer a road vehicle, just off-road now.

I'd try these wheels out but they are 70 miles away and life is complicated enough as it is.

Any help would be appreciated.
