Parts on Back order… HELP!

I have a freelander 2 (2011) and it went into the garage at the end of June as the handbrake had failed and needed new break shoes on both rear breaks. It’s now almost October and I still haven’t got my car back. 3 months without my car is taking its toll and I don’t know what else I can do.

Myself and my garage have contacted Land Rover/ Jag directly and they just keep saying to wait as the parts are on back order, can’t give a wait time. How does it take 3 months+ to get a break shoe kit? If anyone has any advice etc., it would be greatly appreciated!

Below is a screenshot from rock auto in the US . I know you are in the uk but could you not try somewhere other than the LR dealer and try to source any of those part numbers?
