I've had my '05 HSE since new and now at 110k miles. I had one occasion recently where the relay for the tailgate started lock/unlocking rhythmically even though the gate was closed. I ended up checking the latches on either side and the lock itself, clearing out the accumulated dust/grease gunk...
Apologies if this is a repeat of other posts but here are a few things to consider.
1) sunroof drains need to be clear because they block pretty easily eventually - sounds like you've had those blown clear
2) the ****** a the end of the drain tubes need modification to make sure that they do...
I'm late to the party on this one but I too just had this replaced as part of an overall water ingress / sunroof drain fix update. Seems to be reasonably common issue as the vehicle ages. Mine is a 2005 LR3 HSE that has lived it's entire life with me in the Pacific NorthWET. My roof drain only...
I was thinking that I needed to take a break from the laptop when I started seeing those fuzzy images - now I'm relieved that it's not me but PhotoBucket. :hello:
On the few occasions where I visit a local client and drive my own vehicle I just expense the mileage at the national rate. We use $0.55/mile regardless of vehicle, be that an LR3 or a Smart Car.
That's why friends don't let friends drive toy cars ...
I had a similar experience when a Ford Escape rear ended my LR3 a while ago. Cost me a new rear bumper but the Escape needed a complete new front end.
Did the fault go away after the new tyre was fitted?
One thing to watch for is that the suspension sensor wiring is up inside the wheel arch (front at least) and could have been hit by the deflated tyre?
The tyres are Nitto Grapplers 285/60/18. They don't rub at all in normal use. The only time I have had an issue is when reversing with full lock which is enough for the front driver side tyre to rub against the suspension sensor wiring harness and you can easily break this. I had to have the...
They look likie RS Sliders. I have the same one's on my LR3.
Here's another view of the winch/bars.
RS Sliders (now replace the original LR side protection bars):
Here you go. Totally gnarly off road shot in the Starbucks parking lot. It's good to keep up the LR3 Chelsea Tractor appearances. (Brit's will understand that ...).
Excuse the dirty wheels - new brakes and still breaking in. :hello:
But I still think that you clean the bottom of your LR3 with a toothbrush ...
The shots of your sliders and underside of your rig were obscenely clean!
My sliders were fitted a couple of weeks ago and I can vouch for the fact that they are:
1) VERY heavy - I had them shipped directly to my techs.
2) VERY solid.
3) not quite as simple as the instructions would suggest to fit. They're hand made and so some 'adjustment' was required to fit them...
