    And Just Like That Solved Roaring Sound

    I replaced both rear hubs, the roaring remained, replaced the differential, and it solved it, got both hubs off ebay for 250 got the differenntial for 150, so all in all not too much out of pocket, now to figure out where the coolant leak is, hope its not the head gasket

    Can not Remove Rear Differential

    got all the bolts out, got the half shafts out, can't get the diff to budge even a little bit, any tips or tricks to help get this thing out?

    Was Not the Wheel Bearings, Rear Diff?

    Changed out both rear wheel bearings, no change, still roaring like 747, goes away under acceleration, how hard is it to rebuild the rear diff?

    2002 HSE 4.6 95k miles, just bought it basically site unseen, drove to put some gas in it, and I think the rear wheel bearing is shot to hell, but the sound goes away when I am accelerating or turning hard left. Jacked it up no slop in any of the wheels, and spun the wheels and no sound, guess...
