Anyone using 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2s?

I love the idea of this. Clearly I haven't been paying attention for a while. Thanks for catching me up!

Anyone using 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2s?

Is the IIDTool the best solution for a modest full-time lift as opposed to the various rods on the market? I just read up a little on the IIDTool and I can see it being very handy in general, but it was unclear to me if it would calibrate the suspension to a higher setting full-time? Some...

Anyone using 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2s?

Just to update I got the tires mounted today and as expected there isn't any rubbing. The tire overall looks narrower.

Anyone using 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2s?

I guess I wasn't getting my email notifications as this thread was being updated. Thanks for taking the time to put in your input; It was all quite useful. I gave the load rating some thought and the D-rated BFGs are rated higher than the Nitto TGs. I like the idea of having an E-rated tire, but...

Anyone using 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2s?

Any of you guys wearing 285/60/18 BFG AT KO2s yet? I need to get some tires this week and I was thinking I would replace my Nitto Terra Grapplers with the BFGs, but I was wonder if the BFGs clear everything just as well. I've never had issues with my Nittos, but I want the severe weather rating...

    Bumber Mounted Tire Swing Out

Front Runner sells a really nice one that utilizes your factory bumper for $1700. No doubt that it's pricey, but it's the best option considering there aren't many options with few on the horizon.

LR3 among the safest vehicles on the road

I screwed up and ****** the wheel when another driver veered into my lane on the freeway. My D2 would have barely shifted from that same steering wheel movement, but the LR3 pulled pretty hard and it didn't help that I applied a little brake. I offered up a lot of driver error, but the truck was...

    Should this knocking be concerning?

The carriage bolts should not be reused so make sure you get fresh ones.

    Should this knocking be concerning?

Most people don't even know the bushings are going out until they hear that knocking while braking and going over speed bumps. You caught yours early. My dealer quoted me $1200 after alignment. I'd imagine an indy shop could do it for less, but you'll still need an alignment. One could replace...

Are you sure it's not just leveling?

    Overheating problems

T-stat has a life of about 50K, but most people report that the seal goes bad and the T-stat stays open.

    After-market GPS

Kenwood makes a unit that is popular for what you're interested in. Search for it on disco3.co.uk as it's pretty popular on that board. I'd just get a portable Garmin w/TOPO capability. It's what I use and I personally enjoy having the dash cubby.

    Faded exterior trim

The only thing I have used is Mother's Back-to-Black, but I have had great success with it as long as it is reapplied regularly. The trim on my D2 was pretty badly damaged by the sun and the Back-to-Black was only partially effective, but as long as your trim is in good shape a few generous...
