Wet Carpets and Headliner - Water Leak

It's really unbelievable that this is an ongoing problem, and LR has known about it for years, but still can't get it right. It's either complete ineptitude, or they don't give a ****. Either way, it's inexcusable.

    Mine didn't.

Wet Carpets and Headliner - Water Leak

I think Michael99b may be right, however, every LR owner should acquaint themselves with the "Magnuson Moss Warranty Act". Lemon Law is great if you have a persistent problem. If the problem is deemed to be relatively insignificant, and does not meet the criteria for Lemon Law, then the Mag-Moss...

Wet Carpets and Headliner - Water Leak

Mine leaked after every modest rainfall. You won't have to park your vehicle under a waterfall to verify that it leaks.

I don't think that's entirely accurate. I had the timing chain/guide issue at 36,000 miles.

    Engine Vibration

I don't know the answer to that. If it were me, I would plead my case with Jaguar Land Rover North America. It appears that this is a well known problem.

Wet Carpets and Headliner - Water Leak

Mine did not show any water stains, despite the fact there was a substantial volume of water up there.

Wet Carpets and Headliner - Water Leak

At least one or two of them drain down the front pillar posts adjacent to the windshield. I don't know how many in total there are or where they drain. The only way to see is to remove the headliner, or get ahold of a shop manual. Once the water ends up where it shouldn't be, it could feasibly...

Wet Carpets and Headliner - Water Leak

I have a 2011 LR4 that developed the same problem a few months after delivery. The sunroof drain hoses were not routed correctly. Your description of the hoses being routed higher than they should be, thus allowing the water to seek the first escape route it can find, is exactly how the problem...

    Engine Vibration

The whole front end of the vehicle, and the engine, has to come off to access timing chain/guides/etc.

    Engine Vibration

My LR4 had the same problem. An issue with the guides causes the timing chain to not be as taught as it should be. The excessive slack cause the chain to make noise. It also changes the engine timing, which is why the "Restricted Performance" light turns on. I don't believe the parts are overly...

    Engine Vibration

Unreal. I'm amazed at the volume of problems with this vehicle. It looks like we are both getting the run-around. The dealer was never able to resolve the rough idle condition for me either. In the meantime, mine is back in the shop yet again. I think this is my 20th visit in 3 1/2 years of...

    Engine Vibration

Hey MadBrit. My LR dealer replaced a "variable valve timing solenoid" on my vehicle also. No change. It still idles a bit rougher compared to before the timing chain/guides, etc were replaced. Not sure what my next moves is.............

    Engine Vibration

The frequency will increase with higher RPMs, however the noise does go away once RPMs go over a certain level, maybe 1500. This makes sense based on my understanding of what's happening: There is a tensioner, perhaps two, that apply pressure to the timing chain. The amount of pressure exerted...
