Hi all,
I have a 2006 LR3 SE V6. The reverse lights are not working. Last time I had it at my mechanic, he called the LR dealership to ask a few questions. He was told the switch was inside the transmission so it was not likely worth pursuing unless I really wanted it fixed. I assume that means the transmission would need to be opened up or (gulp) removed for a fix. For safety reasons, I would like to get this working.
I assume my mechanic has tested to see if there is any voltage at the light when in reverse.
Has anyone had this problem and can you suggest a fix? Alternately, any way to work around this with a different setup. I thought maybe someone seriously into offroading had hooked up some auxilliary backup lights (in case of alligators and the like), and I could steal their idea.
Thanks!
