water in gas
hi again i just changed out my fuel pump and filter. 96 d 1 4.0 ,the pump i was able to get was different from the one in it . it had a tube coming out of the top , which i put a cap on. when i unscrew the gas cap there is no pressure in the tank now.will i have to find the right pump to fix... -
no start
i have been having troubles with my rover, 96 d1 139000 mi.i started with plugs, that kept it running for 2 weeks.it would run just like always, but i would stop and turn it off and it would act like it had no fuel. waited a day and it started right up.drove another 4 days and it wouldn't... -
interior lights
my interior lights are not working correctly.they flash off and on. what controls them. they will still come on if you turn them on.all fuses are good.1996 d1 4.0 se7. -
ignition switch
i have a 96 d1 with ignition switch trouble. the key will turn all the way back till the radio is off but wont go on back to get the key out. i bought a new switch, but still have problem. was looking for a way or a wire to cut that will disable the park switch. if i could disable it or make it... -
key won't come out
hello again my key will start and turn off but it won't remove all the way. i have put in a new switch but the problem still persists,although not all the time. ithink it is the park switch.is there a way to disable this feature on the ignition switch. -
arb bull bar
i was wondering if an arb for a disco 1 will fit a disco 2. i have been thinking about upgrading to a 01 or a 02 model. mine is a 96 with air bags. -
unimog axles
has any one ever put unimog axles under a disco 1. will the drive shafts line up ect. i thought i could get a pair and run 38's and have the correct gearing plus they have air lockers already. -

i'm just gonna bother you guys one more time for now.when i put my 96 d1 into 4 low i get a loud warning tone ,which dosen't go away till i'm out of 4x4.is this normal i've never noticed it before.can i make it go away or is somthing wrong,all works 4 low dif lock,shifts easy,i just don't... -
driving lights
my 96 di has all the gear for offroading.my over head driving lights quit working,they appeared to be wired up wrong from the get go,but they did work when i bought it.my question is where do you splice in to get them to work with the high beams,as that was how they worked before.if i can't find... -
leaky sunroof
i had an idea on my sun roof,i thought i could place clear sealent in the glass seating track.puy vasiline on the glass ,improve the seal ,and still have the sun roof work.has any body else tried this.i would like to know if it will work before i gom it up -
rear air
is there an easy way to recharge the rear air on a 96 d1.i havent tore into it yet but it stilll blows cool,and the main air appears to be a lost cause.the comp. dosent lock up and the metal lines appear to have been abused.so the rear seems to be ok.i thought there might be an access panel im... -

oil leak
i have a oil leak on my 96 disco,traced it back to a sensor.it is located above the oil filter.i was wondering what it is.also i have drained all the oil out,and took the filter off which my manual says to not take the filter off untill you put oil back in .is there anythink i should do special... -
