trying to pass CA smog check, code P0158 ?
The air quality coming out the exhaust pipe is fine but what's failing me on the test is code "P1058 02 sensor high voltage (bank 2 sensor 2). Question is: Is this telling me my sensor is bad and it's time to replace or is it telling me something else is wrong and making the sensor flag it... -

96 Disco failed cruise control actuator...
My rubber boot on the cruise control actuator has fallen apart and no longer holds the internal spring from slipping out sideways and sometimes making the throttle stick at 4k rpms....my question is...if I don't need or want to use cruise control, can I just disconnect/remove spring on the... -

uh oh....98 transfer case not fitting
I am replacing the transfer case in my 96 Disco a/t with one from a '98 Disco a/t. My mechanic just called to tell me that it is not fitting correctly as it seems the transmission output shaft is just a tad to long.....any help with work-around ideas? trans output shaft from a 98 a/t? other... -

is the '97 or '98 T5 case an identically appearing, straight bolt in replacement? I am working with a shop that is already pretty sensitive about me bringing them the parts...please advise, thanks! -
