    Thinking about buying one.

get a warranty! My 95 was babied in Beverly hills and had 74,000 miles on it when I bought it. Everything worked. To date in 10,000 miles I have had the following problems: 1. Broken Ground wire to Fuel pump 2. failed oil cooler line 3. rear windows stopped working 4. cruise control...

    Shuts down!!!

Well to date I have replaced the following items, Fuel pump Fuel pump relay ECM The stealership told me that the reason for the shutdown was a bad ECM. Replaced it and she still shuts down. Acts like there is no fuel or very erratic fuel flow. This only happens after it warms up. It...

    Thanks Will Tillery

Just bought a couple of things from him recently and have to say it was a very nice experience. He has had everything I have needed at fantastic prices, prints a DHL label during the order and ships quickly. Nice guy, good prices, fast delivery. Then again I guess this has been said...

    Power Steering Pump leaking?

I used some of the lucas stop leak for Steering. Best $8.00 ever spent on my truck. I may end up spending $16.00 though as it ate half of the first bottle waiting for the seals to swell.

Fuel pump ground and bad rotor

Well got the double whammy. I gave up on the fuel pump issue and took it to a shop they found a broken ground to it in three hours. It took them four more to find and fix the rotor that must have succumbed to the minus zero degree weather we had out here. Grrr. I missed the rotor myself...

    frozen fuel pump NOT!!!!

Well I am about to tear my hair out. Replaced the pump and the relay, checked the inertia switch and nothing. The relay clicks on when with the key on, then clicks off when you try to crank the truck. What the hell........................................... Is it possible that the...

    fuel pump pressure gauge??

Anyone have a link to a cheap fuel pressure gauge? The hing looks like it has a shreader valve on the fuel rail. Kind of looks like an air gauge should fit. I rented the wrong thing from the looks of it.

    Frozen solid.

Argh... I think I may have been off the back in pre-winter prep........................ The only thing that makes sense at this point is something frozen. It went from perfect to won't start in nine hours........................... It got cold up here very rapidly and stayed cold.

Does frozen solid = a new fuel pump? Can't I just "wait it out"

    Frozen solid.

No fuel pump noise. Well, I do not hear the fuel pump despite hearing the relay click on. I am now pretty darn sure it is frozen. Tomorrow I will tow it down "The Mountain" and let it warm up somewhat in non freezing temps. I tossed in some "Heet" to no avail. I guess I should have...

    1996 LandRover Discovery Overheating

Maybe we should let our trucks mate. Mine is frozen solid lol. Good luck with your truck. Check for a hose that is weak as it may be collapsing and causing a blockage

    Frozen solid.

trying the heet. I will try the heet. From their website it is iffy whether or not it will work in a frozen fuel system. This is starting to make me unhappy. Anyone have a 4x4 full size truck for trade?

    Frozen solid.

Just looked it up on wikipedia Dry gas is essentially ethanol. It does not seem to be needed for a California car as we already have a fair bit of ethanol in the fuel. I am going to pull the main fuel line and see if she spurts or is frozen. Maybe change the fuel filter as well. Could be...

    Frozen solid.

No noise from pump. Grrrrr. Methinks shes frozen.............. What kind of truck freezes like that lol. If it were my old Pinzgauer I would just get out the torch and defrost the damm windows. That swiss lump always started in the cold. Is there something special about the fuel...

    Frozen solid.

Well my 95 disco has been a great truck, best I have ever bought used and up to now the least trouble ever with a used car. I guess it had to start sometime. Truck drove fine, parked it outside and temps fell to 7 to 9 degrees that night and have not risen above freezing since. Nor has the...

    Intake Help

I can tell you from first hand experience with several vehicles over the years that it will not work at all without adding a high flow exhaust system. Most vehicles also need a chip to see any real gains despite the intake and exhaust. Not sure about the disco needing a chip but if it were me...

    D1 Brakes ?? trouble!

Joey, I have only been checking these boards for a week or so and am a noob to Rovers (Pinzgauer expert though). If not for the fact we are at least 2,500 miles away I would take you flying in a second flat. From the effort you put forth helping others out on this board you deserve it. Have...

Flatbedded it home last night - ideas?

Got the problem fixed! Lower oil cooler line came off the darn fitting. * quarts of oil later it works perfect. Now I have a brake issue! This thing is as much maintainance as my old Pinzgauer. But I still am developing a sweet spot for the old gal.

    D1 Brakes ?? trouble!

Hi all, Just after I got the oil cooler lines fixed (fell off BTW) I had an interesting albeit slightly scary moment with the brakes. Pedal went to the floor truck needed to be stopped by e brake. Checked out everything I could see and everything looks normal. Strange thing is that they...
