Headlights issue
There is a ground wire that is connected to the side of the engine compartment. Think you will find some corrosion where it is screwed into the sheet metal. -

Thanks Vegas, that is a great link for starter removal. I was thinking a 10 mm as it is a little bigger than a 3/8 hex key. Guess it will be off the auto parts place to pick up some metric hex key sockets. -

Does anyone know what size the hex bolts are for the starter? Tried using 3/8 but seems a bit small. This is a 4.0 engine, thanks in advance for any help. -

The pc board on my fuel pump that controls the signal to the fuel guage is worn out. Anyone know where I can get a replacement pc board. Thanks for any info you can give. -

1996 Disco Dash Lights
On the dash lights could the dimmer be turned all the way down. On not coming out of the park could be a stuck brake switch. If you have that rear fog light switch on the dash some times that will bypass the brake switch and allow you to get it out of Park. -

Hi Greg, I did not see a plug back there, but the harness runs on that side. I will check that out today. I have found that it is the Green/purple wire that runs from the brake switch to the rear brake lights that is shorted to ground. -

Thanks Chongo. Sounds like a neat way to trouble shoot the problem. Right now I have all brake likes out of the circuit that is why I was wondering it there are any relays/solonoids in that circuit. I guess it could be a harness problem I'll check it out today and let you know how it turns out. -

I have a 97 disco V8i. The brake fuse keeps blowing. I have disconnected the brake lights including the the third brake light and it still blows fuses. Is there a relay or solonide that could be shorted? The signals work fine and the fuse only blows when I step on the brake peddle. -

OBDII Question
Hi Disco Mike, MM, FS, CC, OS, OH are all solid and CM and FS are still flashing. I am just wondering if these should be flashing or does it take a long time for them to complete the test. -

Obd 2 coeds P 0130 and 1193
I have a check engine lite with the codes P 0130 and 1193. I know these are oxygen sensor problems but how do you tell which one is bad. Need also a good place to pick up a new sensor if that is what is needed. This is a 97 Disco with a V8 engine. -

Stuck in Park
Happen to me while towing my boat. Temp fix is turn on lights and turn on brake switch on the dash it will release the shift lever. I found that the plunger on the brake switch was stuck. I just hit it with a little wd 40 and it was good to go from there on. -

Window regulators
On the 97 disco they have a pretty big flat head on the rivit/axle and there is no way that a nylon wheel would streach that much. I guess I could make up a hole new axle for it. Just don't know whether that would be worth the time. -

Door Pannel removal
Thanks Joey, I send that off to my son and get his machinist to make up some wheels. I'll let you know how we make out on this project.
