'03 drive trouble

hello forum.....i have an '03 RR which , as of recent , is not responding to the Drive position when i shift out of Park.....once i gradually accelerate it gets in motion and runs fairly as long as i dont accelerate too fast....if i happen to stop (eg. red light) , i have to give it slow acceleration again , start the gradual process.....Frustrating in traffic......Please , shine some light on this issue.....Do i need a tranny ? Thanks , the Frustrated Shifter

have you checked your fluid level? Sounds like it may be low.
