1996 land rover disc for sale

i have a 1996 land rover disc. for sale has less then 130000 on it. it runs and drive fine intill us shut it off, you have to take the negative batt. cable off, and then put it back on and it will start back up. Its not in bad shape, but and no show room cond. neither . someone made a fair offer they can have it. Im located in SC.

Why do you have to take the battery cable off? Is the battery going flat when it sits?
