1998 disco.......series 1 or 2?

now that I'm starting to really get into the whole land rover lifestyle I think I should ask an obvious new guy question. How do i tell what series my disco is? Its a 1998 and I thought I read that those were only series 1, True?

98 is series 1.

US Specs
94 - early 99 = D1
Mid 99 - 04 D2
05 - 09 LR3 or Disco 3
10 - LR4

Easiest way to see the difference is tail lights or door handles

D1 tail light are mostly below the rear door glass, D2 is above
D1 door handles are flush, D2 are raised.
There were 700+ changes between the D1 and D2

Nearly everything is different with an 02, with very few parts that will interchange.
The D2 is wider, and longer with many more up-grades for better on and off road comfort, as well as a new Bosch electrical system to get get rid of the D1, Lucas gremlins.
Just out of curiosity, how much are they asking for the 98 and how many miles on it?
