1998 Discovery

I am considering buying a 1998 Discovery. 86000 km and in great shape. I can get this for around 10K (Canadian). I think it is a pretty good deal. Can anyone let me know of their experiences with their Discoverys (Good and Bad) as I am thinking of buying this vehicle this weekend. Is there anything particualr I should be looking for with the vehicle? I have looked at the undercarrage for signs of off roading and saw none. I am an avid 4x4er and know that the Discovery is an excellent choice for this activity. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Check to make sure the Diff lock/Hi-Low shifter works as it should...

Ask for a complete repair history....
Check for rust around the Alpine windows... Check for rust on the door Sills make sure the locks lock/unlock with both key and remote
