Yes, within 1 year, but the dealer said that since we have more than 16000 miles on the odometer, they would not do it for free. I already had an oil change done at 8000 miles (at an independent LR service center) because I did not feel comfortable with 15000 mile intervals ... call me old-fashioned.

$750 was for tire balance (they do not need balancing), tire rotation (already done), oil change, and for fluid/brake checks amongst other "checks" ...
Ah, yes... got it.

I would definitely use the independent LR garage for all work except items covered under warranty. When it comes time for my second service, I will be staying far away from the dealership.

When I took my Discovery 4 in for its first service after 7000 Km and 6 months the total was $450 for:
1.5 man hours $ 90
Balancing tires $ 40
Aligning wheels $ 150
Oil Filter $ 26
Air Filter $ 53
Oil $ 46
Diesel additive $ 5
Brake cleaner $ 4
Windshield fluid $ 3

I do some off-road driving and though it was a good idea to align the wheels. No free service for us in Panama :argh:
