2005 L322 Auto headlights staying on

Hi guys,

The auto lights function of my vogue isn't working right. When the headlamp switch it turned to "auto" the headlight stay on, even in sunlight.
Has anyone had any similar problems?

Is the light sensor for this function fitted into the windscreen? If so can the sensor be purchased seperately or is it bonded into the screen?

Wish I could help, but I only have the manuals up to 2004 and they were not fitted with auto headlights (they were fitted depending on market with daytime running lights).

I have the same issue. Can’t figure it out. They stay on no matter what in auto. They even stay on when the car is running and the switch is in the off position! I’m stumped as well!
