I've never had it adjust while a door is open. I thought it was part of the programming that it won't adjust with a door open?

I have also seen it adjust but always after I closed the door.

Hmmm... I've never noticed any type of auto-leveling before.

I have noticed my '11 HSE LUX do some leveling while in a drive thru line or at an ATM machine. Does back to normal when you start driving again.
