Not sure yet, I did start down that path before deciding to find a replacement but then got intimidated having remove about six screws and realizing that it wasn't going to just pull apart... Given the extent of the liquid damage I was just guessing a failed chip! If I do pull it apart I'll report back! I have so many other little things to resolve (I'm a newbie)...Will you crack open the old unit and see if there's a battery inside?
