Doubt the Johnson Rods will help your rub at turn. If anything, they may make it worse by drawing the wheels closer to the body.

Yup.

Lift doesn’t fix tire rub, on any vehicle. Find where it’s rubbing, trim/cut it off.

So finally got everything together....Tuffant Steelies + 265/65 r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers - the LT version. Have yet to test the rub, but so far so good. Also have not tried to get the spare up in the cubby either...but i have no confidence it will fit. Been looking at alts. Definitely don't want it in the back storage and can put it on the roof temporarily, but i don't like the idea of it up there long term. Looking at the swing away Terra Firma for the rear but its an awfully expensive wheel holder!

Looks awesome! Nice. If anyone is shopping Nittos, Discount Tire just started a flash sale for $110 off/set of 4. Looks to be good on Ridge and Terras:

BFG 265/65/18 tires that come in at 30 inches
Looks good! However, if you have 265/65/18 that actually comes in at 31.6" and largely explains why you have some rubbing. Drop it to access ht. and take some tight turns, probably worse. Echoing others, the lift rods alone probably won't solve that for all situations. 265/60/18 = 30"= the LR4's max stock size 255/50/20.

If you're looking for more tire, I'd suggest setting up your setup to fit 17s. It's like a cheat code to unlock all the tires available in the game.

I'm currently running 255/70r17s, which are 31.1" and it's like oem, but I get 6" of sidewall. Spare tire still fits under and zero rub anywhere, even at bump stops. The best part is it has 10 ply with 3 ply sidewalls. I got it on sale about 4 years ago at $160 ea tire and got 6 of them. I rotate all 6 to have even wear, and its at 11/32 tire tread with plenty of meat on them. I wheel a lot and beat them up a bit, and they held up very well.

As you can see from these pictures, the sidewalls get lots of contact and I'm typically running 25 psi up front and 30 psi in the back.

how’d you get 17s on there? Switch to the small Australian brakes?

I ordered these from UK about 4 years ago, except for the last 4 items. They're made for the 2.7 TDV6.
