Hi All,

First post on the forums as a new LR owner. I have been reading plenty of threads related to lifting slightly and fitting larger tires. Most people have dropped down to 18" wheels for the better AT/MT tire selections, but I was wondering if anyone has run 275/55/19 tires on the LR4?

I'm currently running the stock 255/55 and would like to step up slightly in size... The 275/55 should be a little over 31" which I know will fit relative to the height, but I am concerned about the width. Not sure it would clear the braces without a wheel spacer.

Seems like no one has tried this or looked into it... I guess I am going to be the guinea pig!

Just make sure weight rating is correct for the larger tires.

2012 lr4 hse 275/55r19 111h

I replaced my original Continental 4x4Contact 255/55 111V with Continental 4x4Contact 275/55 111H on my original 8x19" rims. Simply perfect. It should have come with 275/55R19 in the first place.

Do you have any issues? I wonder if any issues would be covered under warranty if you went with a different size?

I kept the 255/55/R19s, but went with the Cooper Zeon LTZ tires. My next move will likely be to get the Compomotive 18" wheels.

I was told by several people and the dealership that going with the 275/55/19s is not a good idea, but I think that's just playing it safe. I'd love to hear more, though I don't think it increases your tire options any more than the stock size. For those of us that wanted better off-road tires, going with the 18" wheels from Compomotive is the best bet - or just getting the Coopers.

No issues at all. Maximum safe tire diameter without any modification to the vehicle is 31.4" and maximum safe tire section width without any modification to the vehicle is 11.4". Continental 4x4Contact 275/55R19 111H is 30.9" diameter, 11.2" section width (on 8" width rim, 11.4" on 8.5" width rim) and 9.7" tread width.

Will do as soon as i am back in the UAE
So your vehicle is a Discovery 4 or an LR4 - you mention you live in the UAE? That may make a difference, as I know there could be issues with the LR4 and that size tire.
