So I was having a little fun today and drove through a short shallow set of mud ruts. As I exited, there came a gawd-awful squealing from the left front. I assume that some mud or a rock became trapped between the rotor and the brake pad. It soon (like within 20 yards) disappeared.
However, as I was heading home on the boring blacktop, the damnable noise returned, this time continuing for much longer. My hypothesis seems to be incorrect as the noise continued unchanged even when applying the brakes. I plan to simply spray down the right front tire to see if this takes care of things, but I wanted to know:
Has this happened to you?
...and I was born in Bluefield, so I have a card that gives me permission to sling West Virginia jokes all day long, and I am thus legally excused from all accusations of redneckism.
