aftermarket Sub and amp installation

I'm looking to add an aftermarket sub and amp to my 2006 LRY with the HK system. Any best practices? I was told by a friend of a LR tech NOT to mess with the factory amp under the seat. I think the wiring to the sub is in the RH back panel, not sure if that helps me. Also, does the stock radio have coax inputs? or do I need a converter?

No on any coax inputs. You pull the radio and you will see wiring different than most other vehicles. I have read other threads and have even posted in them about replacing the factory sub. Do a search and you'll see it cpuldnt have been more than 3 weeks ago.
