Take it off and lay it on a flat surface like your gagage floor, that will tell all.

ALright, I am in a quandry Mike. To me this thing is a TIE ROD because it is the piece that ties the left and right nuckle together. Is this also called a TRACK ROD?

http://www.roverparts.com/ProductLi...erPage=1&ListType=DETAIL&PartNumber=TIQ000010

Mike- is the drag link or the tie rode a pressed fit? If so I don't know if I want to go around and start pulling on stuff I can't get back together.

I have the RAVE CD and I can't find anything about replacement in the workshop manual. Anyway, this thing is coming off tomorrow.

You are talking about a tie rod, the bar between the front tires with tie rod end that hook to each front wheel area, right?? Not a track rod that is behind the tie rod up against the front diff. with one end connected to the pass side diff area and the other end secured to the drivers side frame??

I didn't find you last message till just now. That picture is of a tie rod, not a track bar.

I'll be pulling it in about an hour. I'll take pics and post them up.

So how is the tie rod coming? No it is not pressed on but you may need to take a hammer to the bolt on the tie rod end and smash it one to get it off.

I got it pulled off on Sat. I'll have to wait until I get home to post the pics but it sure enough is bent. I am going to try and get one from that place in CA that you suggested. Wasn't there a place in TX also? I can't find their #. More to follow.

You might try and bend it straight, I did when I bent mine. Pretty easy to do in a large vise.
