so this morning when I arived at work I went to put it in park and it wouldnt go out of drive - I shut off the vehicle and went to work - tried it at lunch no difference

I believe the solenoid triggered by the break pedal is not disengaging - I usally hear it - I dont hear it anymore - is there a bypass or a way I can just get the theing to shift? (so I can get home today)

thanks
chris

I have heard of it not allowing you out of park, but drive? That is an odd one. Either way if it is the brake switch, bypass it. Which I think you should be able to do with a small piece of wire.

ok so.
I bent a clip when I re-installed the shifter plunger clip (in the handle) - it came loose and the plunger was not coming up when the thumb button is pressed. So it was my fualt. - Easy fix. Too bad that was after the console was out.

thanks Joey - and all
